Elizaro Artelė Šnipiškės

‘Elizaro Artelė Šnipiškės’ continues the family’s hairdressing traditions. These began in 1933, when there was neither the internet nor hipsters: Elidijus (Elio) and Diana (Di)’s grandfather, Elizaras, founded a barber’s shop in Panevėžys specialising in men’s grooming. Whilst cutting the townspeople’s hair and shaving their beards, he would listen to incredible stories. Elizaras was an excellent barber and an attentive listener, so people would come to him simply to say hello and have a cup of tea. Thanks to this fascinating man, Elidijus and Diana picked up a pair of scissors when they were just 12 or 13 years old. Their grandfather passed on the traditions of barbering and countless secrets of the trade to them. Today, the family’s history lives on at the men’s barbershop in Šnipiškės.
