I see the client out. We exchange words of thanks, and I’m overcome by that sweet feeling of tiredness – but I love it. I worked as always, giving it my all. And suddenly, right in the doorway, she darts round and gives me a hug – so tight, so tight… And I can feel her heart beating. Then she looks at me and says ‘Thank you’ for the umpteenth time. I hear the click of her heels and that sound, so pleasing to the ear (after all, I’m a woman too!), gradually fading away. Women! At that moment, we were both happy, though each of us had different reasons. For me, it was like the title page of my workbook… I’ve been working in the beauty industry for 10 years. Is that a long time or a short time? I think it’s long enough to realise that I LOVE what I do! I love my work and my clients. I value them and look after them as I would myself. I’m constantly improving because I want my clients to be happy :) That’s exactly what my lovely clients call me – the da Vinci of eyebrows, the eyebrow fairy, the nurturer of hands and nails :) But really, I simply love my job, and my most important principle is this: no matter how many years you’ve been working, no matter how tired you are, never change your attitude: “When you do something without love, unprofessionally – It’s a chore! When you do it without love, but professionally – It’s a craft! When you do it professionally and with love – It’s an art!” Best wishes, Ugnė 🖤
