SalonRadar and Watalook: which one fits your business?
Both take bookings, send reminders and take payments. The difference is what happens beyond the calendar: stock, equipment, contracts, seniority pricing and the numbers at the end of the month.

In short
- Both cover the calendar, reminders, payments and a public page.
- SalonRadar adds the back office: stock, bookable equipment, contracts and reports, whether you work alone or run a team.
- Import your public profile to try your own menu without retyping it.
If you work in beauty in Lithuania, you have met Watalook. It is a home-grown booking app and clients know the name. So when we talk to salon owners here, "how are you different from Watalook?" comes up early.
Here is our answer. We make SalonRadar, so we are not neutral, and we have tried to make up for that by linking to Watalook's own pages and sticking to what can be checked.
The short version
Both take bookings, send reminders, take payments and give you a page where clients can find you. Where they differ is in what happens beyond the calendar. SalonRadar treats a beauty business as a business, whether that is one person with a chair or a clinic with twelve staff: what your services cost you, who used what, which machine is free, what was signed, and what the month added up to.
What Watalook offers
According to Watalook's pricing page, as we read it on 19 September 2026, there is a free plan for beauty professionals and a paid plan, Watalook Plus, from €13.77 per month plus VAT. The page lists a booking calendar, client cards with visit history, advance payments and no-show protection, a business page, a "Book now" button for Facebook and Instagram, team management, client import and automatic receipts. Plus adds unlimited automatic SMS notifications and promotion of your services in the Watalook marketplace. Electronic payments carry a 3% fee on the amount received. Check their page for current terms, since plans change.
That is a solid set of tools, and advance payments in particular are a real answer to no-shows.
What SalonRadar offers
The first 25 salons get a founding account at €0 per month with 0% SalonRadar booking commission for the life of that account. Later joiners will be on a paid plan.
The product covers the calendar and online booking, team schedules with roles and permissions, client records with notes, tags, files and pet profiles, SMS reminders 24 hours and 2 hours before a visit, online deposits and prepayment, a waitlist that emails people when a slot opens, a service menu with variants, add-ons and pricing by seniority, shared equipment that cannot be double-booked, stock with recipes per service, deals and promotions, consent-based email campaigns, signed client contracts, and a set of reports that includes a daily cash close-out. The SalonRadar app works on a phone, a tablet and a computer, so the same account serves someone working alone from her phone and a front desk with a large screen.

Where the difference shows
If you work alone
You need a diary on your phone, reminders that go out without you, a page to send clients to, and a way to stop no-shows. SalonRadar does all of that, and a founding account costs nothing, with SMS reminders included. What you get on top is the part solo professionals usually do in their heads: what each service costs you in product, which clients have drifted away, and what you really took this month.
If you run a team
Different working hours, different permissions, different prices by seniority level, and an owner who wants to see sales per person at the end of the month. A full-width calendar for the whole team on a proper screen at the front desk, and the same calendar on each specialist's phone.
If you run a clinic
One laser and three practitioners, signed contracts before treatment, a parent's consent before treating a minor. The calendar knows about the machine as well as the people.
If you buy a lot of product
Colour, fillers, single-use consumables. Give each service a recipe and you can see what it costs you and where the stock went, per specialist.
If you groom pets
Or do hair, nails and pets under one roof. Pet profiles sit on the client card, and services can be limited by size, coat and breed.
How to choose
Write down the three things you do every week outside the calendar, whether that is ordering stock, chasing a consent form or working out who earned what. Then look at how each product handles those three. The calendar will be fine in both. The rest is where your evenings go.
Trying it without retyping your menu
If you have a public Watalook profile, paste its address into SalonRadar's import tool and confirm the salon is yours. You get a preview of services, working hours, staff and photos, choose what to bring across, and have a working menu in a few minutes. Nothing changes on the Watalook side, and you can run both while you make up your mind.
